A LAN printer must be reachable from the POS computer and use the correct network address.
Steps
1. Check the printer's power, Ethernet cable, link lights, and printed network configuration.
2. Open Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings.
3. Open the active Ethernet adapter and review Internet Protocol Version 4 settings.
4. Confirm that the POS and printer addresses are in the correct network range without duplicate IPs.
5. Open Printer properties > Ports and verify the Standard TCP/IP port uses the printer's current IP address.
6. Print a Windows test page, then test from the POS.
Important
Do not invent IP addresses. Obtain the approved static address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS settings from the network administrator.
